Gravatar – Put Your Photo Online Easily
Posted by: | CommentsGravatar, which means globally recognized avatar, is a very easy way to get your photo or photos up online.
Here’s how to do it:
watch this English language video made by WordPress.com. It’s clear and easy to follow:
http://www.gravatar.com
(I’ll give the link I found it on:
http://it.gravatar.com/
which unfortunately , Gravatar refuses to give me the English language website since I am currently in Italy – [pet peeve: I really am VERY ANNOYED when internationally companies refuse to give me a choice of languages! Just because I am in a specific language area of the world does NOT mean I want to use that language!!! - please listen online companies and providers!]
Ok, back to the topic:
- go to http://www.gravatar.com
- read the instructions
- assign an email address to the photo
- Upload your chosen digital photo which needs to be on your computer
- Crop it as you desire
- Upload
- You are “good for go”!
- Enjoy

THE Easiest Way To Get Online: Twitter!

Twitter is micro-blogging. You can only write 140 characters. It’s easy! It’s simple! In fact, it’s the easiest & simplest way I’ve found to get an online presence. So watch this video for more information & then try it out! It’s free, too.
So, if you’re new to being on the internet or feel shy about getting online, like some of my Senior friends are, try Twitter!
If you are studying English or are a teacher of ESOL, open up Twitter accounts – it’s a great way to practice writing English!
So watch this video. If you have more questions, just ask me.
More Than Just An Idea…
Posted by: | CommentsYou might have heard the saying: The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak….
And when it comes to blog and/or website creation this can be the case. We’ve got great ideas but when it actually comes to wrestling through the act of putting fingers to keyboard and typing out what we want to say…. Well, at least I know for myself, I can find lots of other easier things to do – like study how to create a blog or website.
Our ideas are important, vital, in fact…. but until we post them online, they remain JUST ideas….
So, get fingers on that keyboard and type away. If you feel shy about what you’ve written … save it as a draft, then come back and reread, correct, develop and then…
Hit that “publish” button!
Take a minute now and let me know how you go about creating your posts. Go ahead, fill in that comment box…. I’m waiting to hear from you.
